Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary
Provision of a comprehensive quantity surveying service to the Projects Division.
Accurate and timely preparation / submission of valuations and management reporting information. Liaison with the clients to agree valuations, variations and claims. Resolving and offering advice on contractual matters.
Type of Work
Utility based civil engineering projects; design and installation of major pipeline schemes (mostly water) utilising variety of contract types, e.g. ICE and IChemE.
Person requirements (qualifications, experience etc.)
The successful candidate will possess a Quantity Surveying qualification at degree or equivalent level and have experience of Civil Engineering Projects, preferably in the utility industry. He/she will possess a working knowledge of contract conditions and law, specifically ICE and IChemE contracts. Pro-activity, an assertive style, good administration and problem solving skills, as well as developed IT competencies particularly regarding spreadsheets and databases will also contribute to success in this role as will the ability to work as part of small multi-disciplinary team.
