GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERS/ENGINEERING GEOLOGISTS
CHESTERFIELD, TELFORD, MANCHESTER AND BIRMINGHAM
Positions exist for experienced Chartered Engineers/Geologists and Senior Graduate Engineers/Geologists possessing a good Honours degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology, and a post-graduate qualification in a geotechnical related discipline.
The Geotechnics Division has a commitment to innovation and quality of services, and undertakes a wide range of challenging projects, including railways, highways, major earthworks, foundations, tunnels, ground improvements, deep excavations and flood defences. For these works a high level of ability is required in geotechnical analysis, design and forensic studies, together with a sound appreciation and understanding of field conditions. Experience of the design of hard and soft tunnels is also desirable. Successful senior applicants will be required to lead and direct team(s) of younger engineers on a range of projects in Chesterfield and Telford.
For Manchester and Birmingham regional offices, a unique opportunity exists for the right candidates to work in our expanding environment to grow the geotechnical business in these regions by marketing for new work and acquiring new clients.
Current projects undertaken include work throughout the UK, in Ireland, Southern Africa, Central Asia and the Asia Pacific region.
Candidates will need to have good communication and reporting skills, a flexible approach to their work and be available for visits to other offices and sites in the UK and overseas.
