Their involvement extends to the conservation of buildings of special historic and architectural interest, striving to combine the demands of sensitive conservation with the best that modern technology has to offer.
They advise both landlords and tenants on dilapidations, party wall problems and the implications of repairing and service charge covenants in leases.
Their role is not limited to the retrospective analysis of existing buildings or defects, and they frequently act in undertaking design audits of production drawings and specifications for new developments to advise owners, funding institutions and prospective occupiers upon likely maintenance profiles, costs in use and durability.
