Looking for: Principal Structural Engineers, Senior Infrastructure Engineers and Technicians and Principal Engineers and Graduates in the Building Services. These services are provided in the following: Structural Engineering: Design, detail and supervision of building structures in steelwork, reinforced and prestressed concrete, timber, brickwork and masonry. Work includes new construction and refurbishment associated with Commercial, Retail, Industrial, Education, Healthcare and many other Municipal and Public Buildings. Highways and Bridges: Technical appraisals, feasibility studies and reports; traffic studies and economic evaluation; transportation and transport planning associated and highway schemes; design and supervision of construction of road and bridge projects; bridge assessment, repair and maintenance. Directors of the firm act as expert witness or provide specialist advice in relation to Public Inquiries, planning application and legal matters. Geotechnical Engineering: Design, Supervision and interpretative reporting of ground investigations for general ground appraisal, highway schemes and building projects. The undertaking of geological, geotechnical and preliminary contamination appraisals including desk studies. Investigation and reporting of mining investigations particularly in areas of abandoned shallow mine workings. Investigation and analysis of general soil and rock slopes, and analysis of landslip failures including organisation of remedial and restoration works in areas of actual or suspected movement. Reclamation studies including the treatment of colliery sites, proposed industrial and domestic sites and potentially contaminated sites. Advice and supervision on land filling projects including sand dredging and hydraulically placed sand. Design and interpretation of gas monitoring works with regard to migratory ground borne gas from neighbouring landfill or gas producing ground. Independent third party checks on foundation design requiring Building Regulations and NHBC approval. Assessment of foundation failures with subsequent advice on remediation works. Hydraulic and Public Health Engineering: Preliminary and detailed design of foul and surface water drainage systems incorporating pumping station, flow attenuation, flood relief and pollution prevention works. Feasibility studies, site investigations and reports covering all drainage related matters such as industrial effluent disposal, land drainage problems and drainage catchment studies. Land Reclamation: Feasibility studies and site investigation; treatment of colliery sites, other mineral workings and industrial sites contaminated with toxic wastes; design and supervision of site clearance, earth moving, dredging and hydraulic filling, drainage, access roads and other site development works. Infrastructure Planning: Planning studies and design and supervision of construction of infrastructure including roads sewers and provision of, or adaptations to statutory undertaker services eg. water, gas, electricity and telephones for industrial and housing estates. Specialist Reports: Investigations and reports on structural damage and failures for building societies, insurance companies and banks, insured risks, mining subsidence, bridge assessments and investigations of industrialised and partial prefabrication building techniques. Historic Buildings: Our association with CADW and English Heritage has built up our expertise in restoration work. The use of historically correct materials is as important as the method of carrying out the repair and the attention to detail. Restoration projects we have been associated with include Bangor University, Hope Parish Church and Bersham Iron Works. Planning Supervisor: Preparation of health and safety plans and files in accordance with CDM Regulations, risk assessments and risk management.
