Senior Geotechnical Engineer Newcastle
Description: A motivated and technically accomplished geotechnical engineer is required to strengthen my clients geo-environmental group based in Newcastle. You will be of Chartered Status and will have a good honours degree and a second degree in disciplines relevant to engineering geology in the construction industry with at least four years experience. Your skills/experience will ideally include the following: -
Ground and hydrogeological investigation contract documentation, design and implementation.
Geotechnical design of foundations, slopes, retaining structures, earthworks, ground improvement and mine stabilisation.
Management and assessment of geotechnical risk.
Acquisition and divestiture audits.
Interpretative reporting.
Preparation of contract documents.
Your remit will be to project manage the geo-environmental work in Newcastle and to asist with business development in the fields of commercial, residential, industrial development, highways, land reclamation, minerals extraction and waste management. As such you will need to be technically accomplished, informed on current legislation and ideally have a track record in business development -
