Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Description: A motivated and technically accomplished environmental engineer is required to strengthen our client's geo-environmental group based in Newcastle. You will be of Chartered Status and will have a good honours degree and a second degree in disciplines relevant to environmental engineering in the construction industry with at least six years experience.
Your experience will include the following:
Contaminated land and hydrogeological investigation. contract documentation, design and implementation.
Remediation design for the reclamation of derelict land and mitigation design for polluted ground and surface waters and for soil gas management.
Landfill design, preparation of environmental statements, working plans and construction quality assurance for planning and waste management licence submissions.
Qualitative and quantitative environmental risk assessment.
Environmental audits.
Acquisition and divestiture audits.
Interpretative reporting.
Preparation of contract documents.
Your remit will be to project manage the geo-environmental work in Newcastle and to assist with business development in the fields of land reclamation, pollution control and waste water management engineering. As such you will need to be technically accomplished, informed on current legislation and have a track record in business development
