Role:
The company plays a key role in all aspects of rail-related infrastructure, principally on national rail systems and city underground networks, but also light rail and tramways, all over the world. Our expertise covers the entire rail infrastructure including track and permanent way, signalling, buildings, stations and depots. To provide a service to the Alliance to ensure that all relevant procedures are compiled with on Signalling construction activities.
Responsibilities:
Work within the commercial department as Quantity Surveyor with the following responsibilities: Oversee the QS functions for the track replacement section of works including: Re-measurement as required Interim valuation preparations and period end cost report and cost forecasts Evaluate variations as required Checking subcontract applications Actioning correspondence Assist with Target Cost preparation Attend meetings and liase between construction and design teams Assist construction and design management with commercial matters as necessary Preparation of subcontract tender and contract documents
Experience
Essential: Experienced Quantity Surveyor – 3 years work experience minimum Desirable: Consultancy or contractors background Previous rail infrastructure experience
