ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, HIGHWAYS & TRANSPORTATION

The civil and transportation arm of our client, one of the leading firms of consulting engineers in the UK. An opportunity has arisen for an Associate Director to lead and develop the Highways & Transportation team in their Warrington Office. They are a highly professional, client-focussed organisation and prospective candidates should fit the following profile:
· Chartered Civil Engineer with a minimum of 10 years post-chartered, recent, relevant experience in the UK.
· Extensive knowledge and experience of planning and highway legal agreements and procedures.
· Extensive technical knowledge and experience in the planning, scheme-development, detailed design and site supervision of highways, transportation and development infrastructure projects for both Public and Private sector clients (including Contractors).
· A keen appreciation of related disciplines and their associated procedures (eg. traffic engineering, transportation planning, street lighting, traffic signals, highway structures, environmental and geotechnical engineering).
· Proven, hands-on ability to lead by example, motivate and develop a design team.
· Good client-care credentials and experience.
· Good commercial, contractual and project management skills and experience.
· A proven ability to generate and maintain new business leads and contacts.
· A proven ability to represent the company in a competent, confident and professional manner.
· A desire to develop further within this company, beyond this post.
