Our CLient are seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer to join their Skipton office team in delivering various sewerage and waster water treatment projects undertaken for Yorkshire Water.
The application should, as a minimum requirement, be qualified with a B.Eng in civil or structural engineering and have a minimum of 3 years post graduate experience including 2 years in RC design. Ideally candidates will also possess:
experience in the use of structural design packages
experience in the use of reinforced concrete detailing packages
ability to use AutoCAD 2002
ability to use Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office applications
the ability to think laterally and develop innovative solutions
experience in the design of concrete structures to BS5400, BS8007 and BS8110
fundamental knowledge of soil mechanics
structural steelwork design experience
ability to work in an organised manner with minimal supervision
Social skills such as good communication, personal effectiveness and being a team player will also be necessary to allow the applicant to interface effectively with both internal and external partners.
