CAD manager - Cardiff - ref: 2778
The Transportation Business Group are looking for a CAD Manager to join the Cardiff office. You will be responsible for the management / co-ordination of the technicians within the Work Systems & CAD skill group. Your daily duties will include the coordination of workload to achieve the required utilisation levels, together with their technical and career development. Reporting to the Technical Director and Regional Director, you will also be involved in the production / management of drawings using the AutoCAD software. The successful candidate will also be required to provide general assistance to project teams ensuring consistent high standard and the delivery of drawings in a timely manner and to budget. It is essential that you are proficient in the use of AutoCAD with a BTEC/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent. You will have at least five years experience of producing drawings using AutoCAD. Essentially you will have experience of working on general Civil Engineering projects, R/C detailing for highway structures, infrastructure and land development schemes. The ideal candidate will be technically competent with an approachable personality and the ability to be a good team member. You will have the ability to take the initiative with a desire to develop a career. You must be flexible, enthusiastic and able to work under pressure.
