Core Responsibilities:
Geotechnical desk studies and site visits.
Planning and implementation of ground investigations.
Interpretative reporting.
Geotechnical design - earthworks, foundations, retaining walls, ground improvement.
Liaison with railway design offices.
Management of design process.
Knowledge Required:
Minimum 5 years experience of geotechnical engineering, predominantly within a design office.
Qualifications required:
BSc Civil Engineering.
MSc Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical Engineering or similar
Chartered Engineer.
Skills required:
Knowledge and use of geotechnical computing programmes for slope stability, retaining wall design and FE analysis.
PTS holder preferably. |
