Description: A CAD Technician is required to join the Highways Projects business unit in the Manchester office.
Main Duties:
Prepare drawings and plans under instruction from engineers in accordance with company standards
Ensure accuracy and adequacy of technical drawings to company and project standards
Maintain project filing of drawings
Develop basic data to produce information for inclusion into reports
Provide other services as appropriate to deliver the project
Willing to work as part of a team of CAD and engineering staff
Manage own workload
Qualifications and Experience Required:
Relevant ONC/OND and/or HNC/HND and/or City & Guilds qualifications (or equivalent)
Several years experience in preparing highway related CAD work
Working knowledge and experience in using AutoCAD preferably 2005
Literate and numerate
Familiarity with Highways Agency and Local Authority design standards and advice notes
Working knowledge of MX (MOSS) advantageous
Familiarity with other highway related software packages eg. AutoTRACK, AutoSIGN Location : Manchester , Minimum Experience (yrs): 2 Required Education: Tech
