The purpose of this job is to carry out drawing work and all associated tasks with, on a wide variety of schemes within the highways, transportation and geotechnical areas in the Altrincham.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical Responsibilities
Ensure drawing work is carried out in accordance with the AutoCAD team standards
Provide technical and AutoCAD support to professional staff within a multi-disciplinary team
Operational Responsibilities
Work within the AutoCAD team to ensure that project drawings are delivered to the client’s satisfaction
Ensure the upkeep of drawing quality assurance daily.
Other Responsibilities
Contribute to the business meeting its Business Plan and achieving its Vision
Establish and maintain good working relationships with clients and other parties
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Qualifications/ Training
Essential
ONC in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Desirable
HNC in Civil Engineering
Job Experience
Essential
Experience of highway engineering and all draughting work associated with.
Desirable
Produced project drawings with experience of highway design. Produced drawings in Transportation and Geotechnical areas.
Technical Experience/ Knowledge
Essential
3 years minimum experience of using AutoCAD. Good experience in Microsoft Office software.
Desirable
Fluent with AutoCAD 2005 or 2006. Knowledge and skills of Auto Track and Auto Sign.
Special Aptitudes
Essential
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with clients and colleagues. Ability to produce AutoCAD drawings to a high standard. Ability to prioritise work under pressure and complete within deadlines.
Desirable
High level of drawing presentation and communication skills. Ability to demonstrate a flexible approach to work.
Circumstances
Full driving licence.
