My client currently has an exciting opportunity for an Estimator/Surveyor based in Cheshire. You will receive/review tenders/specifications to correctly select/price products competitively and return before due date, inclusive of method statements, technical information, and safety information as required. Undertake site visits to produce tender offers inclusive of bill of quantities, specification, method statements, safety information as required. Source 2 no. Competitive written quotations for each activity or material supply outside the group required in completing a tender return. Produce a monthly list of all projects being negotiated by the estimator for each product and market sector `hot list`, updating the list daily/weekly as necessary by speaking to customers. Prepare a monthly strategy statement to submit to the board report, detailing level of business secured that month against required budgeted targets, with projected level of business for the following months and required strategy to tie in to operating budget set each year. Establish new business opportunities by developing relationships with customers and buying departments in organisations.
Responsibilities include: Prepare and submit tenders from drawings,b.q.`s and specifications. Negotiate with contractors/clients to contract award, including associated administration. Maintain/update estimating database. Prepare/issue product and technical information as requested. Produce/update tender programme in liaison with site supervisors and clients. Source suppliers for material, plant and sub-contract work. Product O & M manuals. Produce monthly estimating report for work tendered and work won/lost
