Candidates should be of chartered status and qualified to postgraduate degree level in hydrogeology. At least 10 years experience is required for this position.
The successful applicant will be expected to lead a group of hydrogeologists and environmental scientists in our Head Office, providing and developing our hydrogeological services to clients and our regional offices throughout the UK and overseas.
Applicants are required to possess in-depth hydrogeological knowledge, particularly in the area of Groundwater Risk Assessment for IPPC applications. In addition their experience must be such that they are accomplished in dealing with the wide range of hydrogeological issues that arise, inter alia, in landfilling, mining and quarrying environments, environmental impact assessments, and groundwater/contaminated land remediation. Experience of LandSim computer modelling is essential, whilst experience in surface water hydrology and water treatment, although not essential, would be beneficial.
The successful applicant will be a leader and possess excellent report writing skills, with proven ability to communicate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams and at all levels, both internally and externally to clients and regulatory authorities. |
