Their Newcastle Office is urgently seeking a Principal Design Engineer who will be responsible for day to day design of both bridges and structures within a design team, and would also be expected to take on a broad range of civil/structural designs.
Duties would include:
Responsible for technical and some commercial management aspects of projects and technical support for new construction and refurbishment projects.
The individual would be expected to meet clients regularly and ensure that they were provided with a first class service.
Key Competencies Skills:
The candidate must be capable of taking a hands on approach to design and technical coaching of junior staff.
Qualifications:
Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer
Personal Qualities:
Good Communication skills and a good team player
Experience:
Ideally the candidate should have sufficient railway bridge and/or other rail related design experience to be able to technically manage his/her own projects with minimal supervision. In addition the candidate should have ‘client facing’ experience and be able to manage the client interface on a day to day basis.
Permanent Way Design would also be an advantage. |
