Key Tasks / Responsibilities:
Prepare foundation designs for tenders and contracts.
Respond to technical queries from site.
Provide numerical checks of designs prepared by other designers.
Provide clients with the best technical solutions.
Liaise with Estimators and Contracts Engineers.
Attend technical meetings at ICE, FPS, seminars and conferences.
Prepare and present articles and papers on technical issues.
Skills Required Essential:
Good engineering knowledge.
High degree of numeracy and accuracy.
Good communicator in writing, telephone & face to face.
Focused on the business aims and targets.
Experienced in using geotechnical programs and Microsoft Office software.
Good time management skills.
Education and/or experience Essential:
A or B grade in A level maths and/or physics.
Education and/or experience Desirable:
Experience with both contractor and consultant.
Degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology. |
