Based in Leeds, my client is a leading independent oil, gas and minerals exploration consultancy, providing a range of services, non-exclusive and proprietary studies, and gravity and magnetic data to the international oil and mineral exploration industry.
They are currently looking to hire a Potential Fields Geophysicist. Applicants should: hold a degree or higher degree in Geophysics or a related subject; have a thorough understanding of the application of gravity and magnetic methods to oil and gas exploration; have demonstrated experience of working with gravity and magnetic data.
The successful candidate will work within a growing group of geoscientists, on a range of projects. A competitive salary, commensurate with industry standards and the individual`s experience, would be offered.
The role will include the following:
Processing, re-processing, integration and databasing of gravity and magnetic data.
Applying expertise to address client requirements for gravity and magnetic data and related services.
Interpretation of gravity and magnetic data and related information.
Contributing to multi-disciplinary studies.
Interacting with other geoscientists to provide solutions for our clients.
Writing and contributing to client reports.
Presenting results to clients.
Promoting expertise to potential clients. |
