My client are a world leading geotechnical specialists with a reputation for quality and innovation within the field of foundation and underground engineering. Their techniques include bored and displacement piling, diaphragm walls, grouting, mini piling, anchors, ground improvements, and environmental engineering. This position will be based in their office in Alton, Hampshire but travel to sites across the U.K. will be necessary. Working alongside their busy Operations Department, your key tasks will include: Advising on procedures and practices for working with contaminated Land and polluted sites, giving technical support. Research into UK Polluted Sites remediation sector, highlighting opportunities for business development. Auditing Contracts in relation to environmental issues. On-site management of any environmental issues. Liaising with clients about environmental/contaminated land issues. Knowledge and Experience required: Relevant Civil Engineering qualification essential. Knowledge and experience of working with Contaminated Land (a qualification in this area is desirable). Ability to communicate verbally and in written form both internally and externally. Working knowledge of construction processes, methods and site practices. Computer literate.
