REPORTING TO: Procurement Manager
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To relieve Procurement Manager of much of the day to day running of contracts, including preparation and following up of valuations and final accounts. Enabling Procurement Manager and Estimator to concentrate more on improved estimating and buying in particular
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Take ownership of orders once placed & project `handed over` from pre-contract / estimate stage
Liaise with contracts manager and AIC regarding target programme / delivery
Set up summary of contacts for each project
Prepare valuations, submit and follow up
Control / record VO`s with sub-contractors and clients
Capture of design change variations both internally and externally
Attend site meetings as required
Record job costs and report to accounts and commercial dept each month
Record future monthly cash flow & profitability
Procurement of suppliers & sub-contractors
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE / ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:
· Good organisational skills
Good communication skills
Neat and tidy
Commercially aware
· Ideally HND or above in Quantity Surveying or Building related
Ideally 2 years+ experience in similar role
Better from a contracting background ( i.e. from a construction company )
MS Excel and Word
