My client is an international consulting business, based in the UK. They provide an integrated range of engineering, environmental, planning and management consulting services to the transport, property, development, environmental, water and renewable energy sectors.
About the Role
Due to their planned expansion they are currently seeking a Building Surveyor to strengthen their growing Building Surveying Department.
With an extremely diverse and exciting workload within the education, commercial, nuclear, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, waste and water sectors you will welcome the opportunity of working on an array of prestigious projects for their Blue Chip clients both in the UK and overseas.
Successful applicants will be encouraged to develop their skill base and knowledge working on a broad range of building surveying commissions on all aspects of property care, maintenance and development. General duties will include the production of schedule of condition, surveys and reports, asset management, defect analysis, architectural design, cost planning, specification writing, legislative and environmental consultancy, contract admin and CDM coordination. Experience in assisting with the training of junior staff would be desirable.
You will be ambitious, confident, self motivated and eager to realise your potential within our Building Surveying department.
About You
You will be degree qualified with a related professional qualification (MRICS / MCIOB) or close to attaining, with experience preferably in the private consultancy sector.
· BSc (Hons) Building Surveying or similar
· Good all round knowledge of the design and construction process
· Familiarity with the use of Autocad and Microsoft Office
· Good technical report writing ability
