My client are currently to recruit an Estimator within their office in Lancashire.
The position is office based; however, occasional travel will be required.
Main Purpose of the Job:
To provide an estimating service to the Company and to assist in the procurement of contracts in accordance with procedures.
Key Tasks:
Initial assessment of enquiries & preparation of tender make-ups and documents, including risk-assessments.
Obtaining materials quotations.
Procurement of contracts.
Liaising with design, operations, and commercial departments.
Maintaining up to date information using enquiry database.
Knowledge and Experience Required:
Must be numerate.
Good computer skills/I.T. literate (Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes).
Good communication skills.
Good team player.
Experience with CFA piling & knowledge of basic pile design would be useful.
