Job profile:
Due to the expansion of the Landscape Team within the Environment Division, they are looking for a Senior Landscape Architect based in Cambridge, and working on projects throughout the UK and abroad.
Job description:
To assist the Landscape Team Leaders in delivering Landscape Consultancy Services, including Landscape Planning, Assessment and Design to the Environment Division and wider Company in respect of major projects and smaller local schemes.
Ø To support the Landscape Team Leaders in their goal of expanding the capacity of the groups landscape capabilities.
Ø To undertake site surveys in support of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments and the analysis and development of landscape and environmental improvement schemes.
Ø To assist in the production of conceptual and detailed designs and associated contract drawings, presentation drawings, schedules and specifications for landscape and urban design improvement schemes.
Ø To provide management support to the Landscape Team when required.
Ø To undertake research, administrative and any other duties as required.
Candidate specification:
The candidate for the Senior Landscape Architects position should have a minimum of 2/3 years post Part IV experience and be a full member of the Landscape Institute. They should have strong experience of both hard and soft landscape design with the ability to manage their own work load and that of others, whilst being an integral member of the wider design team.
A detailed knowledge of landscape and visual impact assessment is a strong requirement of this position and the candidate should have a proven and detailed knowledge of DMRB, GLVIA and WebTag.
Candidates will have a full UK driving license.
The position will be client facing and the candidate shall be comfortable with dealing with a wide range of clients, from both the public and private sector. There are also good prospects, for the correct candidate, for further advancements within the Company as part of the wider growth in the Companies Environmental Division.
Good written and spoken communication skills are essential.
The candidate shall have strong computer skills and experience of all the relevant software such as AutoCAD, Photoshop, KeySCAPES, Key Terra-Firma and 3D Studio.
Experience and knowledge of historical park design would be an advantage, including applications for Heritage Lottery Funding.
